History...how it all began

Hi I'm Ashley. I'm a fourteen year old singer/songwriter. I started playing guitar six years ago, and started singing four years ago. It all started when my uncle got married. He asked me to sing at his wedding, little did he know, I would write a song for the very occasion. Ever since I have been writing like a mad fiend.

What I am doing now

Lately I have been continuing my musical lessons with both of my wonderful dedicated teachers. I have also started playing at open mics and have even gotton a couple gigs. The people at Ace-in-the-Hole Pub, have been absolutely outstanding, helping me by offering me their stage, as well as encouraging to visit others. I will be playing at the Harmony Festival, a huge step for me. I got this gig thanks to Sooz, at Ace-in-the-Hole Pub, who has really lent a helping hand. I can only hope for the same kind of generous people in the future...

What I'm trying to say

You're probably thinking, whats a thirteen year old girl got to groan about. You see the interesting thing is, I seem to be telling some one elses story, I seem to be "channeling" a story from somewhere else. Personally I don't like where the music industry has gone lately. I don't like how violence and drugs have been promoted and okayed. I try to tell the truth, as I see it, to you. I don't want to lie, or make things up because there is a lot of that already.
